The quick actions of this tween saved a family who was trapped in a burning apartment.

Usually the stories out of Toledo aren't quite so heroic.  There's the story from last July about owning your very own used strip club furniture.  Then there's the story about the man who robbed a tax business the day after he filed his taxes at that same office.  Now we have a story out of Toledo that bucks that trend.

This 11-year-old girl called 9-1-1 around 1:30 in morning on Friday in an effort to save her mother and two very young siblings (ages 2 and 3-years old) according to WTOL.

We are happy to inform you the apartment building was safely evacuated of all of it's tenants and the little girl and her family were rescued without injury.

This story actually reminds me of a similar tragedy that was averted less than 3 hours away in Youngstown, Ohio just a couple months ago,

It was just after Midnight Sunday night into Monday morning when this unnamed hero started barking to wake up it's human.  The human then got up and looked out the window to see the vacant house next door engulfed in flames...
