Opening in 1918, Louie’s is the oldest bar in Kalamazoo with an incredible history. From starting off as a soup kitchen, to allegedly being a speakeasy during the prohibition times, to eventually becoming one of the best sports bars in the area, and most recently getting a shout out on twitter from a bear... Louie's is easily one of the go to spots in Kalamazoo. On July 14th, they'll be celebrating 100 years of service and are throwing a huge party that you don't wanna miss.

They'll be opening at 11am and have a full day planned out with live music featuring
Zoo Wave playing 5:00 - 6:30, Jake Kershaw from 7:00 - 830, and Domestic Problems closing it out at 9:00 - 11:00. They're also going to have a special batch of the NEW Louie's beer from Dark Horse which you'll also be able to buy as they'll have an additional 500 Louie's specialty bottles. You can get tickets to their 100th Anniversary through the events page on their Facebook for $15. Cheers and congratulations to Louie's for making it this long!
