Leila Arboretum In Battle Creek for Early Education Nation: Read With Tess [PHOTOS]
This place is Battle Creek's best kept secret
As part of the 2016 Battle Creek Bombers Reading Program, parents will be given the incentive to read to their young children – the opportunity to win tickets to a Bombers game and other prizes.
Each night this season, the Bombers will host up to 15 Battle Creek area youth in the Early Education Nation zone. During the game, the group will be acknowledged and along with the importance of reading to children beginning at an early age. Children in this section will receive their very own free Battle Creek Bombers souvenir hat.
I am scheduled to read to the children in Early Education Nation and other venues throughout the summer. Join me at these events for your chance to win!
This week, I went to the Leila Arboretum in Battle Creek and am blown away. It is a 72 acre park open from sunrise to sunset. The site features a Children's Garden, Natural History Museum, Perennial Gardens, A Native Flower Garden, and Peace
Labyrinth.
“The mission of LAS is to preserve and enhance Leila Arboretum for all to appreciate horticulture and the arts in a natural environment.”
