I love seeing updates like this!

In February of this year I was blown away by a 15 year old named Layla who not only operated her own business but landed herself on the Kelly Clarkson Show because of that business. You can read the original story below:

Yes, I was impressed with the business alone. But, my heart was touched when I learned that Layla had also started a non-profit called Sweets4Homeless with the goal of providing financial support and homes for the homeless. Let me stress this again: at the age of 15. Amazing.

She was also featured on Fox 17:

Now, that same teen has taken her business even further and purchased her own property:

The grand opening will be announced at a later date but the community seems ecstatic and are nothing but welcoming to this new business. I think I saw close to 200 comments all of which wished nothing but success.

In the meantime, if this is your first time hearing about Layla's Cool Pops, her business or her work for the homeless I encourage you to check out her website. Her confection creations range from cupcakes to pretzel sticks to cookie pops at very reasonable prices (in my opinion). Special orders and catering are also available. And, she offers vegan options!

She also offers apparel which you can find here.

Personally, I can't wait to visit her new location. As a reminder, her Portage store, at 1336 Portage Street, is still operational. And remember, every treat you purchase helps Layla with her goal of ending homelessness.

It's the perfect excuse to get yourself a dozen cupcakes!

Read more about Layla's mission on her website or find Layla's Cool Pops on Facebook.
