This weekend is gonna be a brutal one for us on the west side of the state. For some, it'll be the crushing temperatures and for others the snowfall. Multiple counties are facing a Winter Storm Warning through Saturday.

A lake effect system is churning on Lake Michigan and a Winter Storm Warning will be in effect until 7 a.m. Saturday for Allegan, Van Buren, Berrien and Cass counties who could see the worst of this storm as shown here from FOX 17:

Allegan & Van Buren are expecting to see 6 to 12 inches of snow by Saturday, whereas Berrien and Cass could get snowfall anywhere between 14 and 20 inches.  Muskegon, Grand Haven, Ludington, and Hart are under a Winter Weather Advisory as well and could get up to 7 inches of snow by Saturday:

As expected, travelers driving on US 31, along I-196 west of Hudsonville and on I-94 west of Kalamazoo can expect some delays and slowed traffic. Luckily for the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek area, we won't get any more than 2 inches of snow over the weekend although temperatures will be dipping below 0 degrees at times.
