You Can’t Escape Road Work, Even In October
The old joke about two seasons of the year continues to play out, but the road construction part of it seems to get longer.
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be repaving 7.43 miles of M-40 between M-43 and the Van Buren/Allegan county line, excluding the city of Gobles.
Construction will be completed in two phases, and work will be suspended for the winter. Phase one includes work from M-43 to Gobles, and will occur Oct. 10 - Nov. 1, 2016. Phase two includes work from Gobles to the Van Buren/Allegan county line, and is scheduled for April 17 -May 18, 2017.
