Are you ready?

According to the National Weather Service Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo and surrounding areas are under a winter weather advisory from 9 a.m. Monday to Tuesday at 4 a.m.

We should expect a mixture of sleet and freezing rain with the potential for a quarter of an inch of ice accumulation.  Didn't think it could get any worse?  40-50 mph winds are expected.  All of this could lead to power outages and hazardous driving conditions so NOW is the time to prepare:

- Make sure you have gas for backup generators

- Fill up your vehicle's gas tank to keep the gas lines from freezing

-Salt and/or kitty litter for sidewalks and driveways
