What A Difference 24 Hours Makes: NWS Issues Winter Weather Advisory, Hazardous Driving Conditions
As we shake our heads at the change in the weather, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for tonight in West Michigan.
The area from Kalamazoo to the west and to the north is under the Winter Weather Advisory until Midnight tonight, but conditions won't improve until Sunday morning.
Here's the official text of the advisory.
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EST TONIGHT... HAZARDOUS WEATHER... * SNOW THIS EVENING....LOCALLY HEAVY AT TIMES. * FREQUENT WIND GUSTS OF 30 TO 40 MPH THIS EVENING. * REDUCED VISIBILITY WITH LAKE EFFECT SNOW. IMPACTS... * POOR DRIVING CONDITIONS WITH GUSTY WINDS AND SUDDEN VISIBILITY CHANGES. * ROADS MAY BECOME SLIPPERY AS TEMPERATURES FALL THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON...ESPECIALLY ON OVERPASSES AND ELEVATED SURFACES.
