We asked and you responded!

Last week we reached out to Facebook to find the top Italian restaurants here in the Kalamazoo area. To be honest I was not surprised by the results, but now I am craving meatballs!

Here are the Results...

1. Mangia Magia

Located at 209 South on the Kalamazoo Mall and nominated by Blodgett Schwili Angela via Facebook. According to mangiamangia-kazoo.com

Our menu is heavily influenced by recipes Nonna Rosa first learned from her family, who came out of the Naples and Calabrian regions of southern Italy, and served in our original family restaurant, La Cantina in Paw Paw. Dishes from these regions tend toward bold flavors, red sauces, fresh herbs and vegetables, and plenty of meat. Yet since Naples are Calabria are on the Mediterranean coast, fish dishes were also readily represented on the region’s menus, as they are on ours.

This place has always been a favorite of mine to go to. They have the best sauce, in my opinion and it goes SO WELL with their Erbie Bread. It's a must try if you're in the area!

With a large selection of appetizers, dessert specials, full bar, and wine offerings, you may come in for a snack and ending up staying for the evening enjoying delicious food and great conversation.

We had a lovely dinner on a busy Saturday; the owner/host was gracious and accommodating despite our lack of a reservation. The server was wonderful: patient and helpful with my dining companions' questions about unfamiliar menu components.
