The Best Beer In The State Of Michigan

Michigan has so many great breweries but there's one that was just voted the best in Michigan.

According to Business Insider, the best beer in the State of Michigan comes from Grand Rapids-based Founders Brewery.  The beer is called Backwoods Bastard, a scotch ale with "notes of bourbon, coconut and vanilla".

They rated the best beers in every state and this is how they determined the results;

The list, which was compiled by craft-beer authority RateBeer.com, was based on lifetime reviews and each beer's overall performance ratings last year. This year, they excluded double IPAs and imperial stouts from the rankings.
