Today was a great day because we welcomed Katie Timber back to the studios for Dog Days!

She brought with her little miss Lola.

At 13 years old, Lola is a senior citizen as far as dogs are concerned. She was surrendered to the SPCA of SW Michigan after her previous owner, heartbreakingly, passed away.

She's a very relaxed dog. She made no noise while she was in the studio with us and ultimately was just fine hanging out in Katie's arms. If you're looking for a friend to hang out on the couch with, this is your girl.

Lola is up to date on her shots, microchipped and ready for her new home. If you're interested keep in mind the SPCA recommends a meet and greet if you have another pet. As well, if you're a renter make sure you bring a copy of your lease to prove that you're allowed to have animals.

If Lola isn't right for you, there are a number of animals, both dogs and cats, looking for their forever homes. Find more information here.

If you're not in a place where you can adopt but still want to help, be sure to look into fostering or volunteering. Fostering helps animals become acclimated with both people and pets which makes them more adoptable. And the SPCA is always in need of volunteers in a variety of departments. You can find details on what's involved with both fostering and volunteering here.

If you love puppies...

Make sure you join us at Roof Sit this Saturday (5/22) from 10am - 12pm for Pitbull Puppy Pile! Make a donation and we'll literally pile puppies on top of you. That's a win win in my book. The organization we're working with to help end child abuse in Kalamazoo is that much closer to their goal and...PUPPIES!

All the information for Roof Sit can be found here. And we hope to see you there!
