Someone dropped a big load in Hudsonville this week

Free hot dogs and ground sausage for those willing to clean up the road!

Jamestown Township Fire Chief Duane Miedema reported that on Monday morning  a couple hundred pounds of hot dogs and ground sausage littered a West Michigan roadway.

The mystery meat debris was reported around 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, on 8th Avenue north of M-6, the roadway was closed for cleanup until 1:30 p.m.

Here is the kicker to the story, police are not looking for the person who lost their meat on the streets. Fire officials aren’t sure who spilled the meat, as it was without any packaging or wrapping and the vehicle responsible drove off.

Mlive said that the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office  stated "It’s kind of odd. it’s a first for us.”

No word on how the clean up of the dogs went or if people where picking up meat to stock their freezers
