If you like your bagels a little toasted with a side of road kill, you missed out.

According to NBCChicago.com traffic got toasty on I-65 Sunday Night,

A semitrailer hauling thousands of pounds of frozen bagels went up in flames Sunday evening in northwest Indiana.  An off-duty Indiana State Trooper witnessed the semi traveling north on I-65 in Jasper County about 5:40 p.m. when heavy smoke started coming from the truck’s rear axel, Indiana State Police said in a statement.

The Indiana State Trooper pulled the smoking semi over but it was too late.  The truck's brakes were on fire.  The fire quickly spread to the trailer after to semi's rear tires exploded.

Nobody was injured in the incident unless you count the 38,000 pounds of bagels.  They're not doing so great.
