Phil Collins To Play Detroit; First Time in 15 Years
It's been a while since Phil Collins has performed solo in Michigan; fifteen years to be exact. Collins announced his "Still Not Dead Yet LIve!" Tour, and Detroit is the only Midwestern location on the 15 city tour.
Collins will play at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Tuesday, October 1st.
This concert will be Collins' first appearance in the state, according to MLive, since a Genesis tour in 2007, but 2004 was the last time he performed solo here, in Grand Rapids and Auburn Hills.
Collins career began with an appearance in the classic Beatles' movie, "A Hard Day's Night", then he became the drummer for Genesis, and lead singer after Peter Gabriel left the band. His solo career netted him seven No. 1 hits in the U.S.
As with most shows, the ticketing process is tricky. You can register for pre-sales here. Registration ends Sunday night, March 24th. And this is tied to Ticketmaster, which is selling the tickets. Ticketmaster's verified fan system is being used by some artist to bypass scalpers and bots.
