Aldi's is recalling some frozen raspberries, siding on the side of being extra cautious. Though the raspberries weren't sold in Michigan, they were available in nearby states.

The two products voluntarily recalled are 12 oz bags of "Season’s Choice Frozen Raspberries" and 16 oz. bags of "Season’s Choice Frozen Berry Medley." The reason cited was due to hepatitis A contamination.

The Season’s Choice Frozen Raspberries 12 oz.bag code numbers are 20161A, 20213A,20235A, with the UPC code 041498124199 and use by dates of June 10, 2021, August 1, 2021, and August 23, 2021.

Season’s Choice Frozen Berry Medley 16 oz. bag codes are 20198A,20201A,20203A, with the UPC code 041498313449 and use by dates of July 17, 2021, July 20, 2021, and July 22, 2021. Both were supplied by Wawona Frozen Foods

ALDI has removed the affected product from select stores in Alabama, California, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, North Carolina, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and West Virginia.The products were also available for purchase to ALDI customers through the company’s partnership with Instacart, a grocery delivery service.To date, no illnesses related to these products have been reported.
