It's one of the biggest and most family fun events of the year. Unfortunately since we seem to have lost The Olde World Village in Augusta's Black Rock Medieval Fest, the annual Michigan Renaissance Festival located in Holly, MI will have to do. I have to admit, it's been too long since I've scarfed on a monster turkey leg. The Michigan Renaissance Festival has been active every year in east Michigan since 1979 and every year draws a quarter of a million people to their grounds.

Half off tickets are being offered here and is open August 17 - September 29
on weekends and Labor Day, rain or shine. The festival is opened
Saturdays & Sundays 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Labor Day Monday 10 a.m - 7 p.m.
Festival Friday September 27th, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Their office is open Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

This year's themed weekends include:

  • Aug 17-18: Pirates and Pets
  • Aug 24-25: Highland Fling
  • Aug. 31, Sept. 1-2: Vikings
  • Sept 7-8: Wonders of the World
  • Sept 14-15: Shamrocks and Shenanigans
  • Sept 21-22: Harvest Huzzah
  • Sept 27: Festival Friday
  • Sept 28-29: Sweet Endings
