Kalamazoo Featured In New Creepy Michigan Based Kids Books
It's always cool when you see Kalamazoo get love from from an author or anyone sharing the awesomeness that is our city. Recently I discovered that Kalamazoo is the main focus of a kids book that's a part of the "Michigan Chillers" series of books written by Johnathan Rand. The book has a solid review from one user on Thriftbooks.com which provides the synopsis:
I just read Kreepy Klowns of Kalamazoo and I thought it was a good book. The story is great, about some Klowns (yes with a 'K') that try to take over the carnival. There are some errors in grammar and spelling in mine (because I have an old one), but you can understand what it is trying to say. I gave it a 5 star rating because it was a good idea to make into a book.
This series seems pretty cool. Think "Goosebumps" but for Michiganders. The other themed books in the series include:
Mayhem on Mackinac Island
Terror Stalks Traverse City
Poltergeists of Petoskey
Aliens Attack Alpena
Gargoyles of Gaylord
Strange Spirits of St. Ignace
Kreepy Klowns of Kalamazoo
Dinosaurs Destroy Detroit
Sinister Spiders or Saginaw
Mackinaw City Mummies
Great Lakes Ghost Ship
Au Sable Alligators
Gruesome Ghouls of Grand Rapids
Bionic Bats Bay City
Calumet Copper Creatures
Catastrophe in Caseville
A Ghostly Haunting in Grand Haven
Drummond Island Dogman
