Kalamazoo Churches Offering Help During Blizzard

Kalamazoo's First Congregational Church and First Baptist Church are offering shelter to those who need it and are collecting items which will be donated to those in need. They were taking volunteers up until Sunday, January 27th, but luckily all of their volunteer spots have been filled. The First Congregational Church located at 345 W Michigan Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49007, will be open at 6:30 p.m. The Fist Baptist Church will open at 8 p.m.

Here is a list of items they are looking for which can be donated at the church:
Long underwear (any men’s or women’s sizes)
One way bus ticket to Sacramento
One way bus ticket to San Antonio
Size 2x winter Jacket
1 medium dog coat
Rolaids
Tums
Ibuprofen
Cough drops
Maternity clothing
Boots (average sizes are 7-10 for women, 9-11 for men)
Backpacks
Men’s pants (small, medium, and large sizes)
Bottled water
Breakfast foods
Fresh fruits and vegetables for nightly dinner
