J.K. Simmons. Really? But What About....As Michigan's Most Famous Actor/Actress

Things are just too calm these days, with everyone agreeing about everything. Time to stir the pot a little. A celebrity website has shared its choices for most famous actor/actress for each of the 50 states. I'm not sure I agree with their choice for Michigan.

Their choice is J. K. Simmons. Good actor. Award winning actor, but most famous right now? What about alternatives? Well, can Madonna act? Let's move on. Some might say Tim Allen, but he's listed for Colorado, because he was born there. The same foes for Jeff Daniels, grew up in Chelsea but born in Athens, GA.

I'll throw out a few names. Ken Jeong, who's in everything these days. He's from Detroit. Courtney B. Vance, who just wrapped up the O.J. mini-series, is from Detroit. Good actor, but not a big star. You could make an argument for Bruce Campbell, the same for Terry Crews. But I'll give you my choice.

Tom Selleck.

Two big TV series, and some hit movies back in the day. Magnum is still better than most of the dramas on TV now, and he's a good guy. So it's Tom Selleck.
