Today we're highlighting sweet Bruna Lynn, who is available right now at the SPCA of SW Michigan.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to have Katie in the studio today so I wasn't able to meet this baby in person BUT, the SPCA is kind enough to post photos and videos showing off her bright personality.

Bruna Lynn is estimated to be around 5 years old and is a mixed breed. She's a larger breed, about 44 pounds, but don't let that intimidate you. Bruna Lynn loves going for walks, is a good listener, and takes treats very gently. I mean...just look at that face!

Bruna Lynn is up to date on her shots and ready for her forever home. If you think she might be the dog for you make sure you schedule a meet and greet if you have other animals in the home. If not, contact the SPCA of SW Michigan here to inquire about adopting her today!

If Bruna Lynn isn't for you, there are plenty of animals looking for their forever home at the SPCA. In fact, there's a 'clear the shelter' event coming up next week with the goal of finding every animal their new home. The SPCA does such a great job taking care of these animals but there's nothing like having an actual home.

Starting next week, May 6th-9th specifically, the SPCA is participating with the Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelter event. Thanks to Bissell, pet adoption fees will be reduced during that time. Read more about the Bissell Pet Foundation here.

If you're unable to adopt but still want to help here's how:

  • You can foster animals. Whether they're older dogs in need of socialization or baby animals that need a little extra care, fostering is a HUGE help. Find more information on fostering here.
  • You can volunteer. The SPCA is in constant need of help in a variety of departments at the shelter. From walking dogs to help with the front desk...if you think you can help you can find information on volunteering here.
  • You can donate. Whether monetarily or with specific items, any donations are appreciated. Find their wish list here.

And if all you can do is share this post, that's appreciated as well! All we want to find Bruna Lynn her forever home.
