Edgar Bergen Elementary in Decatur Demolition

Order of Demolition issued for the former Edgar Bergen Elementary building in Decatur, according to WWMT.com.

If you listen to my show and/or follow my blogs, you know that I am from Decatur.

There was a time when this old building had a lot of character.  It was a cool old building.

While writing this blog I'm reminded of a time that I visited my little sister Michelle's class for career day in that building.

My first thought when I heard the news of the demolition order was, NOOOOOO.  Then I had my cousin Brian text me a picture of the building.  YIKES!

It clearly has to go.  But it's still sad.
