Dave Chappelle is no stranger to Michigan, especially after one of his most recent shows in Detroit. Chappelle received negative feedback and refund demands from a crowd in 2015 after they said he was lethargic during a performance, which he addressed on one of his Netflix specials: "I had smoked some reefer with some rappers,. I don’t know if you know anything about hanging out with rappers, but their weed is very strong — stronger than I was accustomed to."

Weed or no weed, Chappelle made amends with Detroit in 2017 when he returned and is excited for his return to Detroit this Summer for two shows on Monday June 10th and Tuesday June 11th at The Fillmore Detroit. Tickets go on sale today, Friday May 31st at 10 a.m. here. Chappelle is most remembered for his appearance in the films Robin Hood: Men In Tights, Half Baked, and his hit Comedy Central show, The Chappelle Show.
