A fight broke out, leading to a party of six walking out without paying a huge bill.

Things got heated on the night of November 9th at the Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Troy, Michigan according to The Oakland Press,

Managers at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in Troy, were able to defuse a fight in the restaurant, but couldn’t stop a party of six people from leaving without paying their bill.  Troy police officers were called to the restaurant at 655 W. Big Beaver Road at about 11 p.m. Nov. 9 on a report of a fight in progress.

My first thought is that the fight was staged in order to run out of a hefty dinner bill.  However, it sounds like the fight wasn't just among the table of six that split before paying.  I guess it is still a possibility.

The main takeaway from this story is that the waitstaff at this restaurant must be making bank.  Had this party of 6 not run out on the bill the waiter or waitress would've pocketed between $100 - $140 in tips for that one table.

I'm in the wrong business.
