A Wahlburgers Restaurant in Michigan Is Shutting Their Doors
They came, they served, and now they are leaving...
The official word has not been issued by owner chef Paul Wahlberg,or his brothers and partners Donnie Wahlberg and Mark Wahlberg, but an employee of Wahlbugers recently posted on social media that one of their Michigan restaurants is shutting their doors. Mlive followed up on this lead and is now reporting that Wahlburgers has confirmed that they are closing their Taylor restaurant, but that the franchise is looking for a new location in the area.
A spokesperson from Wahlburgers told Mlive that...
We (Wahlburgers) are committed to continue growing the Wahlburgers franchise in the Detroit area. While the Wahlburgers Taylor location will be closing this month, we are actively looking for a new location to serve fans of the restaurant in the Downriver area.
The restaurant will close on January 18 and employees have been offered a chance to take a job at the companies Royal Oak location. The downfall is that the Royal Oak location is about 30 miles away, which makes it difficult for employees to stay committed to the company.
With the closing of the Taylor restaurant, we in Michigan are left with 3 Wahlbugers...
