5 Things That Anyone From Paw Paw Knows
#5 $2.50 Spaghetti Tuesdays at La Cantina. Whitney Pursley is quick to point out it's now a whopping $3.50. But it's a lot of spaghetti.
#4 Goose Poop Island. It's actually Maple Island which sits on the man made body of water Maple Lake. And yes, it has been taken over by geese and swans. Thanks to Katarina Kusmack for this contribution.
#3 Grape and Wine Festival. Everyone knows that it's called the "Wine and Harvest Festival." But if you're from Paw Paw...you don't care. It's the Grape and Wine Festival. Thanks to Anthony Harvey for that contribution and John Mason for the photo.
#2 Paw Paw Elvis. I don't know how I forgot about this guy. Thank you Keith Buckmaster for the reminder. No matter how hot the summer day, you could find this guy in a wheel chair dressed as Elvis in the town so nice they name it twice. Check out the YouTube video: 2nd sighting Of Elvis in Paw Paw MI
#1 The Strand. This movie theatre was built in Paw Paw 90 years ago and has been staple in this communtiy ever since. Thank you B-rad Forward for the contribution.
Here's a picture of me at The Strand a couple years ago.
