I was in shock when I saw three of our AWESOME West Michigan cities on the list. So I looked up the town, and found something unique and special about teach of these towns. I can't even imagine what I could discover if I hop in the car and spend an afternoon in them.
Zeeland
Since the air is crisp and the leaves are changing now would be the perfect time to visit the Upper Macatawa Cycling Trails. The trails are not just for biking but hicking as well. Only great things about this trail were posted on Tripadvisor.com...
Job well done. A very nice example of both easy riding paved pathways for the casual biker and walker, and quite technical mountain biking trails for the adventurous. Park at the south end. A nice lookout about half way up the hill.
What a wonderful place for a family outing, day with friends, or a date. You really could create a day to remember in Zeeland.
St. Joseph
Silver Beach Carousel seems to be a show stopper. First opening in 1910, it was al the rage and stayed in operation until 1971. For years the Silver Beach Carousel stood still until a number of citizens banned together to form the Silver Beach Carousel Society, Inc. In 2010, the Silver Beach Carousel started to spin again.

Carousel is for the Kids and the Kid inside of us! So much fun, anytime you ride a Carousel, it caters to the kid in us and the kids are having fun! Everyone is going around in such a good mood, laughing, smiling, eating ice cream or cotton candy, again such FUN!
Coldwater
Ride the rails with an authentic 100 year steam engine train at the Little River Railroad. The 110 steam engine is a 4-6-2 Pacific type locomotive weighing approximately 58 tons. It is the smallest of its kind ever built for standard gauge and it is also a one of a kind locomotive.
Love Steam Trains! If you love the old west feel, you will love a ride on this old steam train. Feels like the wild wild west!! it is so much different with the sound and feel than a ...say amtrack ride. Well worth a ride to experience for both young and old.
