(Update) Western Michigan University is closing at Noon today (02/09/18) due to the current Winter Storm, which is in the process of dumping

almost a foot of snow on Kalamazoo and West Michigan.

The latest forecast from the National Weather Service says heaviest snow will fall along the I-94 corridor.

WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches
  are expected.

* WHERE...Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun and Jackson counties,
  including the Interstate 94 corridor.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST this evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on difficult travel conditions,
  including during the evening commute. Be prepared for
  significant reductions in visibility at times.
