Why Aren’t Local Businesses’ Flags at Half Staff?

Why are so many businesses ignoring the order to fly flags at half staff after this tragedy in Kalamazoo?

This point was brought up by multiple listeners on our FaceBook page.  If the Government ordered flags to be hung at half staff for six days, why are so many not doing it?

I do have it on good authority that some businesses simply do not have the ability to move their flags to half staff.  Some flags are permanently attached to the top of the flag poles.
