Kalamazoo County has a Winter Storm Warning in effect until 7PM this evening.  According the National Weather Service:

* ADDITIONAL LOCAL ACCUMULATIONS 2 TO 4 INCHES TODAY. LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE WHERE THE BANDS PERSIST. SNOWFALL RATES COULD TOP AN INCH PER HOUR IN THE STRONGER BANDS.

* NORTHWEST WINDS GUSTING OVER 30 MPH WILL CREATE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.

IMPACTS...

* NEAR WHITEOUT VISIBILITIES POSSIBLE.

* NORTH SOUTH ROADS WILL BE ESPECIALLY PRONE TO DRIFTING.

* INTERSTATES 96... 196 AND 94 WILL BE IMPACTED ALONG WITH PORTIONS OF HIGHWAY 131 AND ROUTE 31.

* THE MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION REMINDS MOTORISTS TO ADJUST SPEEDS BASED ON THE CONDITIONS... AND TO TAKE IT SLOW IN ICE AND SNOW.
