With all the extreme cold and snow, maybe a trip to the just wrapped up Detroit Auto Show didn't sound like much fun. A shorter jaunt to Grand Rapids might just be for you, to help beat the traditional "winter blahs".

The show starts Thursday and runs through Sunday. Aside from all the new cars on display, there are highlight items you're going to want to check out,

The Million Dollar Motorway, where all the cars have a price tag north of $100,000. Some twenty vehicle will be displayed including an Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, Maserati, McLaren, Porsche, and a Rolls Royce.

There's been several stories in the news about a comeback of sorts for the DeLorean. (The futuristic gull-winged car used in the Back to the Future movies) The Gilmore Car Museum is bringing that, along with a 1903 Columbia Electric Runabout, 1999 Ford Ranger Electric Vehicle (EV), 1929 Duesenberg J-187 Clear Vision, two vintage fire trucks (including a 1926 Chevrolet and 1928 Model A Ford) and a 1957 Ford Custom 300 State of Michigan Patrol Car.

Organizers also promise a big display of the latest high tech vehicles, and also, the biggest display of new trucks, which has become maybe the hottest market segment in automotive sales.
