Sugar Cookie Fail

Yesterday, I thought it would be fun for my daughter and I to make some sugar cookies and decorate them. Last week we went to Meijer and bought green, red, pink, and a mix of colored sugar.  Of course, when I got home I looked in the cupboard and saw I ALREADY had all of those colors minus the pink.

Anyway, I was to lazy to make homemade dough so I bought the pre-made sugar cookie dough. As we began making the cookies I noticed that when I took the cookies out,  Gia was having a hard time sprinkling the sugar on the cookies. None of the sugar would stick!

I started thinking to myself, "I bet I'm doing this wrong." I decided to whip out the computer and I googled sugar cookies. Of course, I was making these suckers wrong. You have to decorate the cookies BEFORE you put them in the oven.

Lesson learned! Half the cookies are plain and half are decorated. In the end they all are quite tasty!!! Happy Holidays:)
