We all know that you can't get to Sesame Street without going through Michigan, mainly because of all the connections between Sesame Street and Michigan. That statement has never been truer now, after Sesame Street has announced a 10 city road trip that is making a stop in Detroit. Fox 2 reports that the nonprofit Sesame Workshop announced Tuesday a selection of Muppets will take part in the 10-city trip to celebrate the show's 50th anniversary campaign with free park festivals, live performances and kid-friendly activities. That's right, it's free!

The tour starts June 1 in New York, but from June 21-June 23, the Muppets will be in Detroit filming segments for the show with local kids and highlighting people and places important to the community. There's also going to be activities like a giant maze, a treasure dig, photo opportunities, sweepstakes and a cookies-and-milk snack station. This is a must attend event for any hardcore Sesame Street fan.
