Nonla Taqueria In Schoolcraft Is Closing Indefinitely

At a time where we're seeing businesses start to thrive and open again, for some it's been a time of uncertainty and struggles. Unfortunately those struggles seem to have gotten the best of a local favorite and a staple of Schoolcraft, Nonla Taqueria. For nearly 3 years they've been a MUST for anyone looking for a unique Mexican inspired restaurant in the area, but had the unfortunate announcement regarding their closing:

Dear customers and loyal supporters, With labor shortages and new babies on the horizon we’ve had to make a difficult decision. Given a tough year for the restaurant industry we need to redirect focus on our other restaurants at this time. Unfortunately, we will be closing Nonla Taqueria sometime this week. This date depends on how quickly we go through product. We’re hopeful Nonla Taqueria will open again. We have nothing but love and appreciation for all of you!! Thank you for the continued support!

Starting today (8/10/21) they will only be open for take out orders. The announcement has already left many regulars upset about the news:

I’m saddened to read this as my co-workers and I have eaten here many times (both take out and dine in) over the past couple of years. It’s our go to place for lunch. You’ll be missed and I hope to hear of your return. Everything is better with a bit of lime!

Although it is unfortunate that they're closing, we can only hope positive things follow and that they can eventually make a return.
