Why Was the Mystery Machine in Kalamazoo Last Weekend?
If you thought you saw the Mystery Machine in Kalamazoo Friday, you're not crazy.
In fact, they would've gotten away with being in Kalamazoo if it weren't for those meddling kids. Well, it wasn't Scooby and the Gang. However, a mini-car version of the Mystery Machine was in Southwest Michigan over the weekend. Justin Olsen shared the moment he ran into that miniature TV icon car in downtown Kalamazoo on Tiktok.
So, why was a tiny Mystery Machine in Kalamazoo last Friday? It was part of the 2021 Micro/Mini Car World Meet at the Gilmore Car Museum. On Friday the 18th they did a preview event at Bate's Alley in Downtown Kalamazoo to help promote the main event that took place on Saturday at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners.

When you think unusual cars in Kalamazoo, clearly the banana car comes to mind. The banana car, way too large to be a part of the miniature car show, was created here in Southwest Michigan back in 2011. Since it's creation, the fruity car has become a staple of Kalamazoo. In fact, it recently published an illustrated children's book about their adventures and there is a Matchbox banana car.
