This Ohio man will not be named 'father of the year' any time soon.

The father to be was driving from Massillon to a casino Canton, Ohio with a friend.  He was doing so at about 110 miles per hour.  When the police eventually caught up to the speed demon in the Mercedes 300 they noticed a strong smell of weed in the car.  According to Cleveland.com, after telling the police that he was on his way to a casino the suspect dropped this bomb on them,

The driver also offered up the fact that his girlfriend was currently in labor with his child.

So, let's recap.  A man and his friend were driving at a very high rate of speed (110 MPH) to a casino.  Meanwhile the driver's girlfriend is allegedly at the hospital at that very moment in labor.  And to top it all off, he likely has the munchies.

Speaking of the munchies.  The suspect did admit to smoking pot earlier in the day.  When he was asked to do a field sobriety test.  He didn't do so hot.  The dad to be was arrested for speeding and wanton disregard of public safety.

There was no indication in the police report if the suspect's girlfriend was in fact giving birth at that moment or if it was a bad excuse to get out of a speeding ticket.  However, if it is true...congrats on the new member of your family.
