Calling All Child Artists: Tibbits Gallery Hosting A Kids Art Contest

Have you ever dreamed of having your art hanging in an art gallery? Were those dreams crushed, and now you dedicate your life to living vicariously through your kid out of resentment and force them into a career path they don't want just to fulfill the dreams you could never obtain? Of course not! You just love art and so do kids. Tibbits Art Gallery is a fan of art, believe it or not, and they're looking for kid artists ages K-12 to create new artwork which will be displayed for an entire year. Below are the rules and regulations they've set on their event page:

 

*This contest is open to any student currently in pre/K-12 curriculum (not limited to any specific state or school; homeschool submissions welcome!)
*Subject matter must be appropriate to hang in businesses
*All artwork must be UNFRAMED
*All artwork must be a MINIMUM of 8" x 10"
* DUE to Tibbits Admin Offices, 93 W. Chicago by April 17, 2020 at 4:30pm.

All unframed artwork will be exhibited at Tibbits Art Gallery with a dessert reception on Tuesday May 12, 2020 from 6-7pm for all artists and their families as well as the general public.

If your child’s work is NOT chosen for the lease: Your child’s unframed work will be available for pick up at the Tibbits Admin Office after July 14. Artwork left after Sept 1, 2020 will be considered abandoned and will be destroyed.

If your child’s work is chosen for the lease: Your child’s framed artwork will be available for pick up following the year-long lease at the Tibbits Administrative Office, 93 W. Chicago Street in Coldwater. You will be notified by email or phone as to the specific date in July when it will be available.
