Kalamazoo’s King Highway Resurfacing Project Begins Monday

As the official start of summer approaches, another major construction project will being Monday (June 1st) in Kalamazoo.

The Michigan Department of Transportation will be resurfacing 1.3 miles of Business Loop I-94 from the intersection at M-96/King Highway to Michigan Avenue.

The project will go until approximately July 12, 2019. Expect single-lane closures with traffic regulators at work.

The project is costing $821,000, which includes joint repairs, curb and gutter improvements, and pavement markings.

The project will be concurrent with another starting on June 10th, for "emergency" repairs on Riverview Drive, which is just down the street from this project.
