Dana Saves A Life
My girlfriend Suzannah and I were driving down West KL Avenue in Kalamazoo yesterday after work when I noticed three kids beating the ground with a stick.
Suzannah pointed out that it wasn't the ground they were beating — it was some kind of animal.
We turned the car around, and the kids scattered.
When we walked up to the animal in front of the Mount Royal apartments, I found this big turtle lying on the ground surrounded by broken sticks. The poor guy was understandably very defensive. His mouth was wide open and ready to chomp.
I put him in a box and took him to my car. We drove him to a little body of water at a nearby trailer park and let him go.
We weren't able to get a picture of him as he tried to bite my finger. But yeah, I did my part to make my girlfriend like me a little more.
