The annual dinner to kickoff RoofSit 2017 has been moved indoors to another location.

I don't know if everyone defines comfort food the same. For some, it's something tasty when you're having a bad. For other, comfort food is a celebration. Either way, here's one of my favorites for this installment of Dave Benson's Eating Kalamazoo.

There are a lot of great places to eat in both Kalamazoo and Battle Creek, and surrounding communities. We all have our favorites. And, in most cases, when we have a favorite place to eat, we have a favorite item on the menu.

I've given this some serious thought. There's only one thing that would've made the bizarre ending to Sunday night's Academy Awards ceremony better and more satisfying.

As I was typing this, the idea popped in my head: "Are you smarter than a paczki" Well, I need a paczki right now. I took my camera around and checked out how some locals spell that delectable belly bomb.

Sometimes the best ideas are born of pure frustration. Jessika Cole was sitting around with some girlfriends complaining about their men's obsession with fantasy football. Words to the effect of "well, what if we had a fantasy wine league" were uttered and an idea was born.

With this Saturday's Doo-Dah Parade coming up on it's 35th (or 36th, or 34th) anniversary, it was time to take a look into the KFR archives for some pictures. I found a bunch, and they seem to be from the early 90's.
