Nobody saw this weather coming, but what an opportunity to sneak in some extra outdoor time, in Michigan.

With that in mind, here are four great reasons to trying a do a fall weekend camping trip this weekend.

Reason 1. With temperature predicted to be north of 70 degrees all weekend, why couldn't you sneak in one last camping trip? This is like playing with house money. It gets you out of the house. If coronovirus shuts things down again, you'll really be sitting there cooped up wishing you'd have done this.

Reason 2. You'd be socially distant, because there are going to be no crowds. Peace and quite and fall nature.

Reason 3. No mosquitoes. That's reason enough to go. No need for bug spray and what's that lotion that doubles as a bug repellent, Skin So Soft. Unless you want skin so soft, then bring it, by all means.

Reason 4. If you pick the right state park, you can tap into their free wi-fi. So, go ahead, bring the top and work off the park bench. But if you don't feel like working, put the wi-full to use on your smartphone apps. Build a little campfire, get some cold bevys, and fire up the Fox Sports app for the Michigan-Indiana game or the Michigan State-Iowa game on ESPN Saturday afternoon. Or better yet, sit by the campfire Saturday evening and check out Notre Dame and #1 Clemson on the NBC app. No, Trevor Lawrence isn't playing but that means the game probably will be competitive. Or if you hate football, catch up on Love It or List It on the HGTV app or some Christmas movies on the Hallmark app.

The only downside is after last weekend's wind storm, most of the fall colors are off the trees now. But, as I said, 70 degrees in November is house money.
