The best part about Kalamazoo Pride is how happy everyone seems to be that weekend. Along with Do-Dah Parade, it's a celebration of life and loving who you are. Free Mom Hugs will also be in attendance giving out free hugs while spreading positivity throughout the grounds. We need more groups like Free Mom Hugs.

Free Mom Hugs is a registered non profit organization made up of affirming parents and allies who love the LGBTQ+ community unconditionally. They are dedicated to educating families, church and civic leaders, encouraging them to not only affirm the value of the LGBTQ+ community but celebrate them.  On Saturday, the Water St. entrance opens at 2 p.m. so FMH will be meeting just past the entrance tables inside the festival starting at that time. ( Water St. is the only entrance for Kzoo Pride.) The entrance fee is $10 but, if you also volunteer for a Pride shift, there is no entrance fee. You can volunteer with Free mom Hugs just by showing up and asking how. You can get your t-shirt here by searching Free Mom Hugs.
