Fall Fun For Everyone Is Right Around The Corner
It is the time of year for apples, pumpkins, corn mazes and donuts with cider! Oh, and don't forget the giant pumpkin drop...yea, it's a real thing!
It was a sunny fall day and I decided to take myself to the apple orchard (if I wait for a date to take me, in may be fall 2022, that happens)!
I had the best time wandering around 'Gull Meadow Farms' and discovering all the fun things they offer for a date or a family! Here are just some of the things you can do!
- Apple Chute (slide)
- Steer Roping
- Grain Train
- Corn Hole
- Pumpkin Checkers
- Petting Farm
- Pig Races (New!)
- Animated Chicken Show
- Fire Pit Rental areas
- Duck Races
- 2 Jumping Pillows (for adults and children)
- Fence Maze
- Obstacle Course
- Straw Jump
- Zip Cord (for children 12 and under)
- Pumpkin Lane Train (for children 12 and under)/li>
- No Left Turn Maze
- Corn Crib
- Giant Rocking Chair (for photos)
- LOTS of photo opportunities!
Looking at the map, I am torn at which adventure I choose to go on first. It is almost like asking the Scarecrow from the 'Wizard of Oz', which way to go. The truth is, which ever path you follow leads to fun.
- Family Friendly Flashlight Maze
- Kalamazoo Balloon Fest (Oct. 27th - Oct. 29th)
- Giant Pumpkin Drop (Oct.29th)
Can you imagine a 1,097 pound pumpkin falling from the sky? 'Henny Penny' would lose her mind. Remember the story...
"One day Henny-penny was picking up corn in the cornyard when--whack!--something hit her upon the head. 'Goodness gracious me!' said Henny-penny; 'the sky's a-going to fall; I must go and tell the king.'
Then the hilarity and fun starts in the classic story! If you have not read the story yet, I highly encourage you to do so, the tale is super cute!
Remeber, you have no worries, nothing will fall on your head, but it will be really cool to watch the giant pumpkin race to the ground!
- U-Pick Apples
- U-Pick Pumpkin Patch
- Carmel Apples
- Fall Flowers
If you look closely at the contents of the brown bag, muffins and donuts are at the top, and the healthy treat (pink lady apples) are at the bottom...I still bought healthy food, don't judge!
You can find Gull Meadow Farms at 8544 Gull Road in Richland!
I love the bales of hay dressed up like a couple! Creative, cool and I am assuming a tone of work! These guys greet you as you pull into the farm.
Guess Which Treat I Picked?!?!?
The Fun Does Not End With Fall Adventures!
