Here's what you need to know about today's drive-thru testing at Kalamazoo Central High School.

There will be drive-thru testing today: Thursday, May 14th from 8 A.M. - 4 P.M. at Kalamazoo Central High School.  However, you can't just show up and get tested.  Here's the info you need according to Family Health Center.

#1. If you wish to be tested you must first call 269-488-0804 for a pre-test which includes a phone consultation with a physician to get a doctor's order for the test.

#2. You must bring your driver's license or personal identification.

#3. You do not need insurance to get tested.

#4.  Testing is open to everyone in Kalamazoo County, which includes homeless and undocumented people.

Thankfully, the number of new daily cases in the state of Michigan have been going down consistently over the last two weeks.  Get more info on that story by clicking here.  These numbers are a hopeful sign.  However, we are not out of the woods yet.  When you jump out of an airplane you don't remove your parachute half way down because things are going well.  Widespread testing and social distancing are still two very important actions that will help us here in Kalamazoo County keep our friends and family safe and healthy during this pandemic.
