My favorite day of the week is finally here - Dog Days! Today, Katie Timber from the SPCA of SW Michigan introduced us to Louie, a 2 year old little brindle mix who is ready for adoption right now.

Louie is a lover and a cuddler. In fact, Katie told us that she basically had to drag him out from under the covers to come visit us. That's my kind of dog. He's also great with other animals, great with kids, and such a sweetheart all around. I did find that getting a clear picture of him this morning was a challenge because he was SO excited to be here....but with a face like that, who cares?

Louie is ready to find his forever home today. You can find him at the SPCA of Southwest Michigan.

If you're not in a place where you're able to adopt, that's okay! There are still plenty of ways to help out the SPCA as they find these animals their forever homes. You can volunteer your time at the front desk, in the kitty room, or wherever else they may need you. You can donate monetarily or donate needed items. Check out their list of items that are always needed below:

  • Bleach
  • Dish soap
  • All purpose, antibacterial cleaners
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Clumping cat litter
  • Cat and dog food both wet and dry
  • Paper towels
  • Storage bins with lids

And those are just a few. You can see the full list as well as every other animal currently looking for their new home here.

If you this animal isn't right for you but may fit in with a friend's family, please share!
