It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what? Actually, no. No it's not. It's actually some moron in what appears to be a white Dodge who wanted to channel his inner Elwood Blues by jumping his dang car over a rising drawbridge in Detroit. That literally could have killed him.

But I guess when you're totally messed up off of whip-its then you're really not thinkin' about too much other than walkin' on sunshine. That's what Detroit police are saying the man was under the influence of after he was arrested yesterday. The man was in his car at the Fort Street Bridge when he started to feel the need for speed. He took off in his car as the bridge started to rise. That's when the bridge operator noticed what the man was doing, as he told Local 4:

And I looked, I said, ‘No he ain’t.' Over he went, blew out all four of his tires, and then he crashed into the other gate. That’s first for me

Oh, he was, and he did, and he's busted. I wouldn't say he necessarily stuck the landing either. Locke said that the call from police described the incident as something from “Dukes of Hazards,” but Locke said he called it “The Blues Brothers.”
Ride em' in, Rawhide.
