Panthers Quarterback Cam Newton, made a sexist comment at a press conference  last week, but it wasn't him that got booed at Sunday's game.

Cam Newton, quarterback for the Carolina Panthers made sexist comments to a female reporter last week but surprisingly it was Eric Ebron, Lions tight end, that was booed at Sunday's game. Freep.com reported this morning...

"You can’t be an $8-million tight end and drop passes like that, or at least you don’t deserve to be.
The fans at Ford Field, who booed Ebron lustily off the field after the drop, would agree. They even booed him later in the game when he appeared on the jumbo screens during a cutesy video. They booed him again when safety Mike Adams knocked away a would-be catch that was nullified by a Panthers penalty."

It comes down to bad plays or bad behavior, looks like bad behavior won...

USAtoday.com reported the original exchange between Newton and Rodrigue...

Jourdan Rodrigue, the Carolina Panthers beat writer for the newspaper, was thrust in the national spotlight Wednesday after quarterback Cam Newton laughed at her and said it was "funny to hear a female talk about routes." Rodrigue was supported and Newton was widely criticized for the sexist remark —  by the Panthers, the NFL, and the media.

The Comment

Panthers came out in full force to support Cam Newton and his comments.

Schleep put in their 2 cents at Foxnews.com...

As for our female reporter.... You might want to consider you are working in a MAN'S sport. If you want to hang with the big boys you might try growing some skin. If he'd said that to a male reporter, he'd have blown it off as a joke. You... on the other hand, immediately pull the gender card. You wonder why you don't get any respect? You gotta earn it sweetie. So, put on your big boy pants if you want to play the game.

I'm not much of a Cam Newton fan, but this whole thing is such a load of p.c. garbage it's unbelievable. If this woman and the others who criticized Newton are such emotional wrecks, they need to seek counseling before they become completely paralyzed and are unable to function at all. They're like a bunch of damn drama queens that I'd hate to see what happens to when they're confronted with a real crisis in their lives. Pathetic.

...And this is newsworthy??? Tell that woman to stop her whining! Every time you turn around somebody has their poor feelings hurt. Get over it!!!

Cam Newton did apologize and CNN.com published Cam's comments...

"What I did was extremely unacceptable. I'm a father to two beautiful daughters and, at their age, I try to instill in them that they can do an be anything that they want to be."

Cam Newton did walk into the locker room on Sunday wearing a Rosie the Riveter pin on his hat.

The question now is, should he be forgiven for a comment?
