Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s investigators continue to evaluate the incidents that occurred Tuesday night in the death of five bicyclists and the injury of four others.

Authorities have arrested the driver of the pick-up truck that struck the riders along the 5500 block of North Westnedge. County prosecutor Jeff Getting announced the victims today.

The deceased are 74-year-old Larry Paulik and 73-year-old Tony Nelson of Kalamazoo, along with 56-year-old Suzanne Sippel, 53-year-old Debra Bradley and 42-year-old Melissa Fevig-Hughes of Augusta.

Officials have also announced the four people injured in the incident - 65-year-old Paul Runnels, 53-year-old Sheila Jeske, 47-year-old Paull Gobble, all of Richland, and 40-year-old Jennifer Johnson of Kalamazoo. Gobble, Jeske and Runnels are listed in serious condition, while Johnson is in fair condition.

The driver of the truck is expected to be arraigned on charges in Kalamazoo Thursday.
