Michigan Police arrested a man accused of shooting at another man, then stealing his dog and fleeing police.

On Sunday morning a man from Illinois showed up at a home in Greenville, Michigan looking to buy a dog. It was soon after that things went south and a gun fight ensued.

An argument took place and the man allegedly fired several shots at the homeowner, who then retrieved a rifle and fired back at the suspect. The suspect then fled in a vehicle with the homeowner’s dog.

Troopers tracked the suspect down and a chase started. It was not until the suspects car broke down that police were able to append the scoundrel and return the dog to it's owner.

Troopers are asking that citizens who the suspect vehicle swerved at while fleeing police contact the Michigan State Police Lakeview Post to give a witness statement. Citizens with information can call the post at 989-352-8444.
