Mohamad Bazzi from Dearborn, is suing Little Caesars Pizza For $100 million all because they got his pizza order wrong.

Mohamad Bazzi who is Muslum, ordered a Halal pizza twice and both times pepperoni was on the pizza. Islamic law forbids Muslims from eating pork.

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that...

"The complaint says Mohamad Bazzi of Dearborn ordered halal pizza twice from the shop on Schaefer in Dearborn. The boxes were labeled "halal," but the pies inside were topped with regular pepperoni. "

Many people take their religion very seriously, so the fact that Mohamad accidentally ate pork can be disturbing. Halal diet is important, is an important element to to Muslim's. The website Halalchoices.com explains what the term halal means...

"Halal simply means permitted or lawful. So when we are talking about halal foods it means any foods that are allowed to be eaten according to Islamic Sharia law."

Wikipedia.com explains the issue regarding the eating of pork and other foods prohibited by Islamic Laws...

"According to the Quran, the only foods explicitly forbidden are meat from animals that die of themselves, blood, the meat of swine (porcine animals, pigs), and animals dedicated to other than God (either undedicated or dedicated to idols). All vegetarian cuisine are halal and allowed for Muslims."

I think a $100 million lawsuit is extreme, yet, I think he has made his point. In fact, after realizing the pizza had a pork topping, Mohamad immediately filed a complaint with the Dearborn Police Department. Mohamand also contacted his attorney who stated...

"That he rushed to file the lawsuit Thursday, the eve of Ramadan, so no other Muslims would accidentally eat pork from the pizza shop during the holiday. "

How much is a meal that was not made to your request worth?
