Wizard Of Oz Festival In 2020 Less Than 2 Hours From Kalamazoo

The Wizard of Oz is possibly the greatest and most iconic movie of all-time. But the book by Frank L. Baum is what inspired it all. The town of Chesterton, Indiana will be hosting Wizard of Oz Days, May 22nd & 23rd in 2020 and is a must go for any true fan of the book/movie. The drive is only 1 hour and 45 minutes from Kalamazoo, and promises to be an event like none other at the Duneland Falls Banquet & Event Center, 1100 North Max Mochal Highway (SR 149) in Chesterton, IN.

You will get a chance to meet our Official Wizard of Oz characters inspired from the book like the Scarecrow, Dorothy Gale, Glinda, the good witch, the TinMan and the Cowardly Lion. Oh but wait, we forgot about the Wicked Witch of the West. She will be here too. You never know what friends you will meet along the Yellow Brick Road.

The 2020 Chesterton Wizard of Oz Days is proud to welcome Steven’s Puppets. If you have never witnessed an old fashioned marionette puppet show, you are in for a special treat. Nationally known puppeteer, Bob Walls will lead you through the fascinating story of the Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

The Wizard of Oz Days will also featured Ms. Mary Ellen St, Aubin, Munchkin by Marriage. At 99 years young, Mary Ellen stills wows crowds by her stories of her husband, Parnell and his roles in the 1939 classic movie, the Wizard of Oz.

And don’t forget about all the amazing vendors. So many vendors. They will displays everything from Oz collectibles to handmade crafts. And don’t forget about the Oz artists and authors. Yep, they will be here too. AND loads of food, contests, games and so much more. Everywhere you turn will take you back to the magical Land of Oz.
